Claudia Giese received her Bachelor of Music degree at UNM and her Masters of Music at SUNY at Stony Brook. She has freelanced in New York City where she performed with the Holy Trinity Bach Vespers Series and the New York City Opera National Tour. She was principal oboe of the Orquesta Sinfonica del Estado de Mexico (Toluca) and as a member of the Aspen Wind Quintet, won th eprestigious Naumburg Chamber Music Award. In addition to her duties at KHFM, she is Orchestra Librarian for the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra and teaches private oboe lessons.
